We produce benefit galas for foundations whose paddle raise has plateaued.

The paddle-raise plateau isn't a fundraising problem. It's a run-of-show problem. We rebuild the arc of your evening around the ask, then produce every scene against it. The TMC anchor-institution foundation that engaged us last cycle broke a three-year plateau and cleared $6.4M in a single night.

01 · What’s unique about this event

Galas run on memory. The ask at 9:45 lands because of the moment at 7:05.

Most benefit galas are produced chronologically: welcome, dinner, video reel, patient story, paddle raise, closing. That sequencing is how rooms plateau. We rebuild around a single emotional anchor set early and paid off late, and the paddle raise moves with it.

We produce galas for TMC-affiliated foundations, arts institutions, and capital campaigns. Our run-of-show rewrite broke one anchor-institution foundation's three-year paddle-raise plateau and cleared $6.4M in a single night. Read the full playbook →

02 · How we produce it

Six levers we pull on every gala.

Six levers, one ask — every scene of the evening produced against the minute the paddles go up.

01 / RUN OF SHOW
Run Of Show

Rewritten around the ask, not the clock

The patient story, the donor tribute, the founder moment, moved to the minutes when the room is most receptive. On the TMC gala, that meant the patient spoke at minute seven, not minute forty.

02 / STAGING
Staging

Intimate scenic, not spectacle

A 2.6mm center LED with a stage runout that reads on camera, two flanking camera positions feeding tight close-ups to the room, the rig the TMC gala ran inside an eleven-minute room flip.

03 / PADDLE RAISE
Paddle Raise

Live tally graphics + auctioneer comms

Live donor-tally graphics on the center LED, paired with auctioneer comms scripted for tier-jump callbacks. "two more hands at $100k", as the numbers update in front of the room.

04 / BROADCAST
Broadcast

Private donor stream

Password-gated livestream for the out-of-town donors and board members who couldn't fly in. On the TMC gala: 112 confirmed viewers, $880K raised against a follow-up ask the next morning.

05 / THANK-YOU
Thank-You

Same-week cultivation package

Post-event highlight reel, donor-tier tribute video, campaign-launch asset bundle, the package the major-gifts officer can send inside seventy-two hours of strike.

06 / MEASUREMENT
Measurement

Post-event deck the Board reads

Donor count, tier breakdown, per-minute fundraising curve, sponsor-deliverables receipt, turned around inside seventy-two hours of strike, ready for the Monday Board meeting.

04 · Plan, timeline & budget

The gala clock, the scope, and what the number looks like.

Gala production starts 12–16 weeks before the night, because the lever that moves the paddle raise is the run-of-show rewrite, and a rewrite needs time to be argued, approved by the gala committee, and rehearsed. By week eight the emotional anchor is scripted and the auctioneer is in the comms plan. By week four the tally graphics, donor tribute videos, and the private donor stream are in QC. The final week belongs to the room-flip rehearsal; on the TMC gala, that flip ran eleven minutes. We published the paddle-raise run of show, minute by minute, if you want to see the arc before the call.

Most benefit galas land in the $125K–$300K tier alongside multi-day summits, and an intimate donor reception with proper staging and lighting runs $60K–$125K. Against the number it moves, the production line is small: the TMC anchor-institution gala cleared $6.4M in one night, 28% above its $5M target. The full tier table is published on the investment guide, and the scoping call turns it into a range your board can see before the contract. One Producer of Record — a senior producer named on the contract — owns the engagement from the committee briefing to the cultivation package.

Directional budget

Get a directional range in four questions.

The configurator prices from the same five levers a producer does: scenic, content, broadcast, crew days, and venue math. It returns a directional range; the scoping call turns that range into a number your finance team can review.

Twelve to sixteen weeks before the night. The run-of-show rewrite is the lever that lifts the paddle raise, and it needs time to clear the gala committee, get scripted, and get rehearsed. A gala produced off last year’s agenda is how rooms plateau.

Yes, and the show is better for it. We script auctioneer comms for tier-jump callbacks, run live donor-tally graphics on the center LED as the numbers move, and rehearse the paddle-raise sequence with your auctioneer before doors, with sightlines and house-light cues set so the auctioneer can read every table in the room.

Yes. We run a private, password-gated stream for the donors and board members who can’t fly in. On the TMC gala, 112 confirmed remote viewers contributed $880K against the next-morning follow-up ask.

A board-ready deck, donor count, tier breakdown, per-minute fundraising curve, and sponsor-deliverables receipt, inside 72 hours of strike, plus the same-week cultivation package: highlight reel, donor-tier tribute video, and campaign-launch assets.

06 · Book a call

Your next gala should end with the development office presenting a record number to the board.

Tell us the program, the room, and the date. In fifteen minutes a producer gives you a scoped recommendation and a transparent budget range, built on 480+ engagements including a $6.4M single-night gala, a 2,100-delegate summit broadcast live to 14 terminals, and a five-city activation tour that generated 38K qualified leads.
